Routes and Rates
The student beach is the southernmost declared bathing beach in Haifa. The beach is especially popular among the young people of Haifa, and thanks to its convenient parking and its proximity to the Carmel tunnels, many come to it during the hot summer days, and also in winter.
The beach was announced for bathing only in 2015, and considerable efforts were invested in it in order to prepare it for a proper bathing beach by Haifa’s high standards. Along the beach there are shade sheds and lounge chairs, as well as clean and new toilets and showers, which were installed there for the benefit of the bathing public.
The beach is located south of Dado Beach, and maintains a simple and non-commercial character. The beach strip is clean and not artificial, which allows you to enjoy a wide and beautiful beach strip, and sometimes even wild. The coastal strip continues uninterrupted to Atlit, a distance of about 10 km, and you can often see groups of boys and girls in fitness training for the military, as well as runners and walkers of all ages who enjoy a quiet and unique experience.
In the southern part of the beach there are several sand hills, some of which have large vegetation that provides shade. Hammocks can be spread among the bushes, and enjoy a clean and well-kept beach, all within walking distance of the capital city of the north.
Thanks to the width of the beach strip, it is possible to hold many activities at the same time, and it is not uncommon to see matka players, birthday celebrations, children building palaces in the sand, people sunbathing and also kites, who share the beach with great pleasure.
At the beginning of the beach there is a restaurant and a stand selling drinks and popsicles, but many of those who come to this beach prefer to bring food and drinks with them ahead of time as it is an ideal beach for a quiet picnic. In addition, there are activities for children and young people on summer vacation days, as well as a variety of performances and various festivals such as the “Capital City”. In the past, Student Day was held on this beach, hence its name, but today the student day celebrations are held at the university or the Technion, and only the name remains.
There is an arranged parking lot next to the campsite.

Ways of getting to the student beach:
From the southern exit of the Carmel tunnels turn to the exit to Tel Aviv Route 2, at the first turn to the beach turn right onto the access road and from there continue straight all the way to the beach (it is very important not to miss the turn because the next turn is at the Atlit interchange).
