Dado Beach and Zamir Beach

חוף דדו וחוף זמיר

Dado Beach is the most popular beach among the residents of Haifa, and for good reason. This beach features a long and beautiful promenade that includes a variety of attractions, as well as restaurants and cafes offering service right on the water, contributing to a vibrant and youthful atmosphere.

Dado Beach stretches from the Carmel Beach train station of Israel Railways to the Leonardo Hotel located on its northern side. The designated swimming area extends from the southern side of the Student Beach along 400 meters and includes 4 lifeguard stations. Adjacent to the beach, there is a large and organized parking area, which also includes reserved spots for people with disabilities.

Along the promenade, benches have been placed for the comfort of visitors, and there are wide lawns where one can relax and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Additionally, there are lounge chairs available for free use along the beach. It is important to note that the northern beach is accessible for wheelchairs, including a sloped descent to the beach that allows for easy access, and there are showers and restrooms adapted for use.

During the summer months, many events take place at Dado Beach, whether organized by the municipality or various private events. On weekends, a mass dance event takes place on the promenade, attracting a large and diverse crowd to the paved and comfortable area. There is also a famous amphitheater adjacent to the sea, where activities for children and families are held during the summer vacation days. In addition to all this, the beach promenade is characterized by fitness enthusiasts walking along it and exercising on the fitness equipment spread along its length.

At the southern end of the beach, there is a camping area where fires can be lit, and it features stone seating benches. Since this is one of the few designated beaches along Haifa Bay where fires can be lit, the area attracts many families and young people for group gatherings, and it is bustling with life throughout the day. Additionally, in the southern part of the beach, there is a beach volleyball court with all the necessary equipment.

It is important to note that in order to ensure the safety of users on the promenade, both walkers and runners, cycling on the promenade is strictly prohibited. It is also worth knowing that there is an area on the beach where playing paddleball is not allowed, and of course, swimming is prohibited in areas not designated for that.

How to get there:

From the southern exit of the Carmel Tunnels, continue on Route 23 towards Matam. Enter the complex and drive towards the central bus station. Go up the interchange and turn left towards the “Carmel Beach” train station. Continue along the winding road until you reach the large parking area.
