Idea for a Staff Trip to the North (Part 2)

רעיון לטיול עובדים לצפון (חלק ב')

So, you’ve decided to take your employees on a trip to the North, and now all that’s left is to decide where to take them and what kind of trip it will be. You really want to show them that you care as managers, that you’ve invested in them, and you’re willing to do a lot to make it happen.

The North has no shortage of places to visit, and you’re likely on a tight schedule. Here are 3 destinations you can choose as a one-day itinerary:

Starting with the Baha’i Gardens

Whether you’re from Haifa or not, you’ve surely heard of the Baha’i Gardens. These gardens stretch from the top of Mount Carmel to its base. They consist of nineteen terraced gardens, and the axis on which they are planned points towards Acre, and for good reason. Acre has significant religious and historical meaning for the Baha’i faith, and at the heart of the garden is the Bab’s Shrine, symbolizing the resting place of the prophet who heralded the Baha’i faith.

Starting a staff trip day at the Baha’i Gardens is an excellent start. The Baha’i Gardens are captivating and educational, colorful and beautiful, and exactly what you need to start a fun-filled group day.

Continuing to Wadi Nisnas

After your employees have finished their visit to the Baha’i Gardens, enjoyed their unique beauty, unusual design, and meticulously maintained plants, it’s time to move on to Wadi Nisnas, a neighborhood located in the lower city of Haifa, a fascinating neighborhood with many places to visit. In Wadi Nisnas, everything is concentrated, and you can take your employees to museums and other art venues, authentic shops, and the two famous falafel stands – Michel’s Falafel and the Old Falafel.

A visit to the area cannot be complete without entering Wadi Nisnas, without experiencing the unique aromas and fascinating people, without being exposed to the history of the place.

Finishing at Haifa Port

So, after you and your employees have eaten at one of Wadi Nisnas’s falafel stands, or decided to eat elsewhere, your next destination will be Haifa Port. Haifa Port is one of Israel’s three main ports, a vast port with numerous terminals to handle the large volume of goods arriving and departing. This is a fascinating place that your employees likely haven’t been to yet, haven’t been exposed to this immense activity.

Afterwards, you can enjoy one of the dozens of restaurants that Haifa offers. Haifa is a city overflowing with countless places to eat, exquisite cuisine in various styles. You’ll likely want the place to be kosher for the observant employees, and there are plenty of such places in the city to enjoy.

A staff trip to the North is a great idea. It needs to be well-planned and start on time so you can fit everything you want to do. The North, and Haifa in particular, offer so much, and now, with the Carmel Tunnels, you can move from place to place very quickly.
