Carmeltone Ltd. (hereinafter: “the company”) attaches great importance to ensuring its services, including the accessibility of this website and its various pages for individuals with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities, among other reasons, based on the belief that all people should have equal opportunities and access to services and information.

Accordingly, the company has worked and continues to work to make this website accessible according to the accessibility guidelines of the Israeli Standard 5568 – “Guidelines for Accessibility of Internet Content” at level AA.

This Israeli standard is identical to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) established by the international organization for web standards.

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of the company’s services and the accessibility of the website, in particular, as part of our commitment to ensure its use for the entire population, including people with disabilities.

Accessibility Features on the Website:

  • Compliance: The website is supported by popular browsers in their latest versions.
  • Zooming in on the Website: Users with visual impairments who wish to enlarge the display can do so by pressing Ctrl and “+” simultaneously (Control and Plus). Each press of these keys will enlarge the display by 10%. To decrease the display, press Ctrl and “-” simultaneously (Control and Minus).
  • Navigating the Website Using a Keyboard: Users who have difficulty using a mouse can navigate the site using a keyboard. Repeated pressing of the “Tab” key will cycle through the various links on the page. Pressing “Enter” will activate the highlighted link.
  • Support for Assistive Technologies: This website is accessible and adapted for viewing by people with disabilities, supporting screen reader software. To ensure the accessibility of the website’s content, the site has been tested with the NVDA screen reader software.
  • Main Content: You can jump directly to the main content by pressing the Ctrl key.
  • Navigation and Orientation: The website’s navigation and orientation features are user-friendly.
  • Clear Language: The website’s content is written in clear language and well-organized with headers and lists.
  • Design: The website design is adapted for people with visual impairments and color blindness.
  • No Fast Flickering or Animated Content: The website does not include fast flickering or moving content (animations, scrolling text). If there are moving elements, there is an option to stop them.
  • Clear Links: The links on the website are clear and provide descriptions of their destinations.

Accessibility of Service and Sales Centers

The service and sales centers across the country have been made accessible to provide a suitable response in offering equal, respectful, independent, and safe service to our customers. The following services are available at all centers:

  • Disabled parking and services for people with disabilities
  • Accessible paths to service centers (some of our branches are located inside malls, click here for the list of service centers)
  • Hearing aids – induction loop at the service station
  • Accessible elevators with auditory guidance

Accessibility for Emergency Reporting Services

Individuals with disabilities who encounter an emergency situation while traveling in the Carmel Tunnels and require assistance are encouraged to report the event via text message to the following number: 050-8331476.

In May 2017, the company received written confirmation from an authorized accessibility service provider, stating that at the time of the check, the website was accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with Standard 5568.
