Carmel Beach is a beautiful and pastoral bathing beach, located at the northern end of the Carmel Beach Promenade, at the foot of the adjacent Leonardo Hotel. The certified swimming beach stretches over about 40 meters of pleasant sands, with a breakwater on its side allowing relatively comfortable stay even on days with high waves.
In the beach strip between the waterline and the road, visitors can find a beach volleyball court and a beach soccer field. Additional and unique sporting attractions at the beach include sailing lessons on a kayak or boat, by prior arrangement with the marine sports club located in the beach shops complex. In addition to marine sports, there are many running groups active on Carmel Beach, and there are fitness facilities scattered along the beach.
Carmel Beach is adjacent to Dado Beach, so the promenade next to the beach connects the two beaches. This allows for a continuous walk along the sea, which continues to the Hackett Park Promenade. Along the entire promenade, there are pubs and restaurants alongside benches and grass lawns, so you can always stop and rest with a cup of coffee or ice cream.

Similar to other certified beaches in Haifa, the beach has restrooms, changing rooms and showers, as well as grills and sun loungers, but services are provided only during bathing hours.
The northern part of the beach includes a rocky beach strip adjacent to the promenade, which is not suitable for swimming but is stunning in its beauty. You can sit on the rocks, watch the sunset and transparent waters, and enjoy a peaceful and calm atmosphere.
Parking is located south of the beach and is near a lawn where many bathers choose to set up tents and have a barbecue.
How to get there:
Northern Entrance: From the southern exit of the Carmel Tunnels, turn right and continue on the road. At the turn to Mesillat Yesharim Street, connect to Road 4 and turn left at the “Maxim” restaurant. Continue on the winding road and pass under the railway track. Then continue on the road and park in the marked parking bays.
Southern Entrance: From the southern exit of the Carmel Tunnels, continue on Road 32 to Matem, climb the interchange and descend towards the “Carmel Beach” train station. At the roundabout, take the third exit and enter the access road of the Leonardo Hotel. Just before the hotel, turn into the organized parking lot adjacent to the green lawn.
